ISHQ's menu is inspired by cuisines from across Asia and presented with fervently worded descriptions. Plates are well presented and food comes in generous portions. Recommended appetiser bo la lot, six brochettes of marinated beef or pork wrapped in greens is tasty but somewhat oily, while ISHQ summer roll, succulent pieces of roast duck and vegetables wrapped in rice paper, is surprisingly fresh though the dip is not spicy as advertised. A range of salads and soups is worth a look. For mains, signature duck confit Indochina style is a leg of duck baked in its fat until succulent and moist; delicately seasoned it is a good choice. Also go for spicy giant river prawns tom cang kho, a Vietnamese favourite. Complete the meal with cantaloupe balls in juicy coconut milk or rice dumplings in coconut milk.
